Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee to speak in Carson City

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will be the dinner speaker at the Nevada Republican Party’s upcoming Central Committee meeting in Carson City.

Huckabee has said he is mulling another run for the GOP’s 2016 presidential nomination.

Huckabee ran in 2008 but sat out the contest in 2012. He recently ended his Fox News talk show so he could explore how much support he might have for a presidential run next year.

The central committee meeting is set for Saturday at the Silver State Charter School conference center. The day-long meeting will start at 9 a.m. Huckabee’s speech is planned for the dinner session beginning at 6:30 p.m.
