Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested after standoff with police

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 11 a.m., Thomas Thornton, 57, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony failure to change address for a convicted sex offender. Bail was set for $5,000.

At 4:46 p.m., Andre Franklin, 21, of Carson City was arrested on felony burglary, domestic battery, obstruction, possession of marijuana and abuse of neglect of a child after barricading himself in his residence at the 2000 block of Hawaii Circle and having a standoff with police. At the same incident Travis Kim, 25, of Carson City was arrested on felony Parole and Probation warrant after trying to flee from deputies. Bail for Franklin was set at $31,350 and no bail was set for Kim .

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
