Drugs are the suspected reason for a roll-over accident involving three juveniles that occurred Thursday afternoon, Carson City Sheriff’s Officers said.

Carson City deputies said the accident happened about 2:30 p.m., after the driver lost control of the vehicle, tried to over correct, and then flipped the car on Kings Canyon Road. The car rolled four times before coming to a stop on the hillside.

No serious injuries were sustained, though deputies said some passengers were not wearing seat belts. They believe the driver was under the influence of drugs or medications at the time of the accident and the driver was taken to the Carson City jail for blood testing after he did poorly on the field sobriety tests.

Southbound Kings Canyon Road was closed for about an hour. An investigation is ongoing.
