The Friends of the Carson City Library is holding a food drive to benefit the Ron Wood Family Resource Center.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 9, donations of canned or packaged food can be brought to the Browsers Corner Book Store, 711 E. Washington St., from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Items needed include peanut butter, canned tuna and meats, beans, vegetables, fruits, soups, pastas and sauces.
Everyone who brings a donation of food will receive a coupon for a free hardcover fiction book and a free raffle ticket. Raffle items include a turkey donated by the Grocery Outlet, a turkey wall hanging, two dozen pumpkin cookies and organic coffee.
