A group of singers and musicians whose mission is to create unforgettable concert experiences is visiting Carson City on Sunday.

For the first time, “Friends with Amazing Voices” is bringing its artistry to the Brewery Arts Center’s Performance Hall, 511 W. King St.

Mig O’Hara, a professional dancer, choreographer and singer/songwriter and director for the TMCC Theater Department, has developed the concept for the group, which is comprised of several Reno community members. The group says it unites musicianship and kinship to reach a higher level of vocal artistry with the aim of filling an overlooked void of the local creative sector.

“When I realized how many of my friends have truly amazing voices, I knew this was something special,” O’Hara said. “And, since I love putting on shows, ladies and gentlemen, a fun-filled, entertaining, and inspiring evening of great music and extraordinary vocals for all ages was born!”

Sunday’s performance also will feature Olivia Swearingen, a Carson City and Carson Valley singer.

The concert is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for BAC member, $15 for students and seniors and $18 for general admission. Advanced tickets are available for purchase at Breweryarts.org or in the BAC’s Artisan Store, 449 W. King St.
