Gold Hill Hotel hosting cowboy poet John Tyson Nov. 12

Local cowboy music performer John Tyson is bringing his American Cowboy show back to the Gold Hill Hotel on Thursday, Nov. 12.

Tyson, a Vietnam veteran, has worked as a law enforcement officer, range manager, working cowboy, train engineer, entertainer and journalist. He is known regionally as a former reporter for KOLO-TV Channel 8. He also contributed to the Wild Horse Crossing CD produced by Lacy J. Dalton in the 1990s.

Tyson’s performance is at 7:30 p.m. in the Gold Hill Hotel’s Great Room, 1540 Main St., Gold Hill. Dinner is available from 4 to 8 p.m. at the hotel’s Crown Point Restaurant. The cost is $25 for the dinner and lecture and $10 for the lecture only.
