Febr. 02, 1938 - Oct. 26, 2015

Barbara Hardwick lived in the Carson Valley for forty-seven years. She was born in Oklahoma, where she lived until the age of seventeen. She married, moved to Lake Tahoe California, where she raised five children, two of which predeceased her. She moved to Gardnerville, Nevada in 1971, where she re-married. Barbara was a school bus driver for twenty-one years, after retiring from Harrah’s. She leaves behind her surviving children, Gigi Knowles, Joe Hopkins and Corky Hopkins, as well as step-children, Sherri Hardwick, Lori Hardwick, Linda Hardwick and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. No matter what, she was always there. Her children meant everything to her and she got so much joy from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We will miss her dearly; she was a one-of-a-kind lady. May she rest in peace. A viewing is scheduled from 4pm - 8pm on November 11, 2015, at Autumn Funerals and Cremations. Graveside services will at the Genoa Cemetery on November 12 at 11am, followed by a celebration of life at her home; 1321 Toiyabe Avenue, Gardnerville, NV.
