Friends In Service Helping, or FISH, will distribute free USDA commodity foods to Carson City families from 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 20 at the Carson City Community Center. No one will be admitted before 9 a.m.

Families must sign an issuance sheet at the Community Center certifying household’s annual income doesn’t exceed federal poverty guidelines which are monthly gross income of $1,471.25 for a single and $1,991.25 for a couple. For each additional household member, add $520. Proof of Carson City residency is required, and photo identification must be provided.

Food may be picked up for those unable to attend by bringing a signed note from them and their photo identification. Persons declaring overly large families for commodities will be asked for proof of family members.
