A slideshow tour of the universe given by Mike Thomas is planned at 7 p.m. Friday at Carson Plaza Hotel and Event Center, 801 S. Carson St.

The lecture costs $5 per person. A no host bar and appetizers are provided. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
