Betty moved from So. California to Carson City in 1979, where she worked for Coats & Clark and Sav-On Drugs. In 2014, she moved to Las Vegas to be near her daughter and shortly thereafter they relocated to Pahrump. A tireless worker and single parent, she was active in her church and was loved by all who knew her. Betty was absolutely fearless, without complaint, fiercely independent and a loving mother. She asked for little while giving selflessly of herself. She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her only child, Bonnie Shanteler. At her request, there will be no service.
