George D. Workman

George D. Workman passed away September 29, 2015 in Fallon. He was born October 14, 1933 in El Monte, CA to Edward and Wononia Harryman Workman. He married Launa Clevenger in 1952. He joined the National Guard and taught

communications at Fort Sill, OK during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Long Beach State in 1970 with a degree in electrical engineering and worked for Southern California Edison until 1976. He received his teacher

certificate in 1983 and taught K-12 for 14 years and at the end of his teaching career he worked with the women inmates in Silver Springs to help them attain their GED’s. George is survived by his wife Launa, daughters Kathy and Pam, son Nick and many other extended family members. No services are scheduled. Arrangements by Smith Family Funeral Home 775-423-2255.
