SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — The South Tahoe girls soccer team didn’t let wet conditions on Saturday keep it from delivering a fifth straight league victory.

The Vikings rolled to a 4-0 win over Fallon at Viking Stadium, its second shutout win in three days.

“We played like we can play, and we had numerous opportunities besides the one that we got,” Vikings head coach Mark Salmon said. “It was another well-balanced game.”

South Tahoe (10-2-2, 10-1-1 I-A Northern) got two goals from Emma Dayberry in the win, including the first goal of the match early in the first half. Desi Benavidez gave the Vikings a 2-0 lead before halftime, with Dayberry and Annie Brejc each scoring in the second half to bury Fallon (7-6-2, 5-4-2).

Fallon plays at home today against Sparks at 4 p.m. and then travels to Elko on Saturday.
