One person was arrested after allegedly shooting another after a domestic incident in the 2900 block of Airport Road Friday night.
Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies responded shortly after 7 p.m. to reports of a person with a gunshot wound, according to Sheriff Ken Furlong. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim with two wounds — one to both legs, according to scanner reports.
The suspect was in the process of being arrested on suspicion of domestic battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm, according to Furlong. More charges could be pending, he said.
The victim was conscious when taken via ambulance from the scene and then by Care Flight to a Renown Regional Medical Center. The injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
The suspect called dispatch and reported the shooting, according to scanner reports.
Both parties were cooperating with deputies. The investigation was ongoing. Furlong said deputies had previously had contact with both parties.
“It appears to be cut and dry,” Furlong said. “However there’s substantial investigation into the cause of this argument.”
