Carson City Kiwanis hosting annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament Sept. 19

Carson City Kiwanis is hosting its second annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament on Sept. 19 at Empire Ranch Golf Course to help raise money for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. The event also includes a run/walk and bench press event.

The run/walk will be at 8 a.m. Registration costs $30 in advance and $35 at the event. Children 12 and under can participate for $10. Applications are available at Kaia FIT, CV Sports and Active.com.

The bench press will be from 7 to 9 a.m. The cost is $10 for three lifts, with multiple categories available.

The four person scramble golf tournament will be at 9 a.m. Entry costs $75, with six golf divisions available — men’s, women’s, mixed, men 55 and over, women 55 and over and mixed 55 and over.
