Connie Stevens, an actress and singer who appeared on “The Bob Cummings Show,” “Sugarfoot,” and “77 Sunset Strip,” will reminisce with the Rockin’ Rev at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on AM 1180 KCKQ and at www.americanmatters.us.
In 1959, Stevens teamed up with Edd “Kookie” Byrnes to record the hit record, “Kookie, Kookie (Lend Me Your Comb).” She followed it up with a solo effort, “Sixteen Reasons,” which reached No. 3 on the pop charts in May 1960.
An interview with Sam Moore, one-half of Sam & Dave, is also planned for Saturday’s program, whose theme is “It takes two: Dynamic duos and duets.” Sam & Dave’s hits include “Hold On! I’m A Comin’,” “Soul Man” and “I Thank You.”
Reminiscing with the Rockin’ Rev is a radio program that airs 2-6 p.m. Saturdays with Carson City’s Ken Haskins.
