Two members of the Nevada Legislature have now endorsed Marco Rubio for president.
Sen. Ben Kieckhefer, R-Reno, whose district includes Carson City, made his endorsement official Thursday saying “Rubio has outlined a clear vision for America that’s focused on our people and providing the opportunity for them to achieve the American Dream.”
He was joined by Assemblyman Derek Armstrong, R-Las Vegas, who also announced his support for Rubio, saying the Florida U.S. Senator has lived the American dream.
“I believe Senator Rubio’s pro-jobs agenda will keep Nevada moving forward into a new American century.”
Rubio has been a U.S. senator since 2011. Before that, He was majority leader and speaker of the Florida House.
He visited Carson City Sept. 1, telling a crowd of about 200 at the Carson City Community Center all of America’s problems can be solved if the nation rejects the path both parties have taken it down in recent years.
