Commissioners meet today

The second County Commission meeting of September will be conducted today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding recognition of Churchill County employees for years of service for the third quarter of 2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding update of current activities, plans or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding delay payment of connection fees and impact fees associated with acquisition of a building permit.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation on historical taxable sales and CTX revenues in Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding providing funding support to NACO for a lawsuit asking for an injunction on the implementation of the Sage Grouse Land Use Plan Amendment.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of contract with Arrington Watkins to provide design services for new adult detention facility.

Consideration and possible action regarding renewal of agreement between Churchill County and Research and Consulting Services, Inc. for professional services in connection with the Churchill County Yucca Mountain Repository Oversight Program.
