County Commissioners meet today

The second County Commission meeting of October will be conducted today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding Bill2014-E, Ordinance 53, an ordinance amending Section 8.08.040 of the Churchill County Code renaming the Churchill County Mosquito, Vector Control and Weed Abatement District as the “Churchill County Mosquito, Vector Control, and Noxious Weed Abatement District.”

Consideration and possible action regarding review of the Churchill County Assessor’s Secured Log Changes pursuant to NRS 361.310(4) for Fiscal Year 2014-2015.

Consideration and possible action regarding the Capital Projects update.

Consideration and possible action regarding local regulated tariff No. 17 changes.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of lease between Western Nevada College and Churchill County for use of space in the Churchill County Annex building.

Consideration and possible action regarding amendment to the interlocal agreement for the Western Nevada Regional Youth Center.

Consideration and possible action regarding interfund Loan from the Building Reserve Fund to the Debt Service Fund to support purchase of equipment.

Consideration and possible action regarding overview of Amended Property Tax Bills.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of water main extension agreement between Churchill County and Demar Dahl.

Consideration and possible action regarding appointment of designee to conduct the annual meeting and election of supervisors for the Lahontan and Stillwater Conservations Districts.
