Tahoe Mountain Milers is bringing the Escape from Prison Hill Half Marathon and 10K and 5K trail races back to Carson City on Saturday, April 23.

The half marathon is a challenging trail run with views of the Sierra Nevada, valleys, and the Nevada State Prison. The 10K packs the same views and less challenging terrain in a shorter distance.

New this year, race organizers are introducing a 5K for those who want a taste of trail running, but aren’t ready for the 10K challenge.

Men’s and women’s overall winners receive an award. All half marathon finishers receive a medal. All participants receive a pair of buffs. There are also random prize drawings during the race. Racers can check the board when they finish to see if they won a prize.

Post- race breakfast burritos and fruit will be provided by La Enchilada. More information and sign-up links are at tahoemtnmilers.org/efph.html.
