Fallon competes at the Douglas/Carson Rodeo

The Churchill County Junior High and High School Rodeo teams had a good weekend at the Douglas/Carson Rodeo.

On Saturday the junior high team’s Grace Felton placed third while Bethie Ikonen came in 10th in the barrels. In the breakaway, Tayler Felton placed first while Jayden Jensen placed fifth and Ali Norcutt took sixth.

Fallon’s Chloe Lambert came in first in the goat tying, followed by Grace Felton in fourth and Tayler Felton at fifth, Ali Norcutt eighth and Bethie Ikonen placing 10th. In the poles Jensen placed fifth, and Norcutt placed ninth.

In the boy’s goat tying Triton Desmond placed second. In the ribbon roping, Jensen and Daunte Ceresola(Fernley) got first while Tayler Felton and Alex Arcadia (Washoe) came in second. Jensen also placed first in the team roping with Cade Bell (Humboldt).

On Sunday Grace Felton placed fifth in the barrels and second in the breakaway, where Lambert placed fourth, Tayler Felton placed seventh and Jensen placed eighth. Lambert placed first in the goats while Tayler Felton came in sixth, followed by Hinkey at eighth, Iconen at ninth and Grace Felton tenth.

In pole bending Grace Felton placed second, Tayler Felton came in fourth, Lambert placed eighth. In boys goat tying Desmond placed fourth. In ribbon roping Tayler Felton and partner Alex Arcadia placed first. Both the Feltons won the team roping event soon after.

On high school, Sam Goings placed second in the tie down roping on Saturday, while Jake Cerini took fourth and Cord Hendrix took sixth.

Leighton Beyer placed third in goat tying and second in the pole bending. In team roping Blain Jensen and Cerini placed first, Cord and Caleb placed second, Mackay Spyrow and Jordan Taylor placed third and brothers Sam and Matt Goings placed ninth.

In the boys cutting competition Cord Hendrix placed fourth while Caleb Hendrix seventh. Jessica Gomes placed fourth in both the girls cutting and in the reined cow horse.

On Sunday Cord Hendrix placed second in the bull riding and Sam Goings placed second in the steer wrestling.In the tie down roping Sam Goings placed fifth, Cord Hendrix placed eighth, Cerini ninth and Jes Tews 10th.

In breakaway roping Sydney placed first. In the goat tying Beyer placed ninth. In team roping Beyer and Alyssa Boyd placed eighth. In boys cutting Caleb Hendrix placed first, while Cord Hendrix placed third. Gomes placed fifth in girls cutting and seventh in the reined cow horse.
