Broadway show tunes for all ages will be performed in a pair of concerts by the Carson Chamber Singers.
Conducted by Michael Langham, the group will present its 2016 Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6 at the CVIC Hall, 1604 Esmeralda Ave. in Minden, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 314 N. Division St.
This year the singers are going to Broadway with a line-up of favorite show tunes, old and new, including selections from “The Little Mermaid,” “Mary Poppins,” “The Lion King,” and “Les Miserables.”
The performances are family friendly. Youth ages 18 and under attend for free.

Carson Chamber Singers was founded in 1985 as the select choral group of the Carson City Symphony Association. The group has performed throughout northern Nevada, including the Tahoe area, and as far as Sacramento, Calif. They have sung with the Carson City Symphony and the Reno Philharmonic Chorus and Orchestra.
The group is supported in part by public funds through a grant from the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, and by private donations.
