A Churchill County man died Sunday night in a motorcycle crash off Rice Road.

The Churchill County Sheriff’s Office said Robert Christopher Kiker, 35, was traveling westbound on Rice Road when his motorcycle exited the south side of the roadway at about 6:25 p.m. No other details were available.

The CCSO along with paramedics from Banner Churchill Community Hospital responded to the crash. Paramedics transported Kiker to Banner Churchill where he was pronounced dead.

The Nevada Highway Patrols Major Accident Team worked the crash site, and the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office handled coroner duties.

According to the CCSO, Kiker’s next of kin was notified a short time later, and an autopsy was conducted Monday at the Washoe County Medical Examiners Office. The CCSO added alcohol and speed are being considered and investigated as factors in the crash.
