CCSD meets Thursday to give superintendent evaluation

The Churchill County School District Board of Trustees will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Old High School auditorium.

Items for discussion and possible action include the following:

Recognition of trustee Greg Koenig’s 12 years of service to the district

Approval of transportation lease agreement with Churchill County Parks & Recreation for the 2017 ski program

Approval to receive six 90-passenger school buses from Clark County School District at no charge

Approval of the fiscal year 2016-2017 amended budget

Approval to allocate $20,000 from the capital projects fund to complete construction of the baseball building to house batting cages at the CCHS athletic complex

Approval of a change order to Ferguson Construction for $8,973.75 related to additional costs associated with the music room addition

Report by CCHS Principal Kevin Lords and Athletic Director Brad Daum regarding the hiring process for coaches including how coaches hire their staff and the evaluation process in place

Superintendent evaluation followed by a closed session to negotiate revisions to Dr. Sandra Sheldon’s contract; open session will then be reconvened for approval of possible contract revisions including but not limited to possible extension of the term of contract, change to salary and/or benefits or revision of any contract terms
