Carson City Sheriff's deputies arrest one after standoff on Pheasant Drive

The Carson City Sheriff's Office arrested one man following a two and a half hour stand off Saturday morning. Deputies responded to reports of a  domestic battery around 11 p.m. near the 4200 block of Pheasant Drive. When deputies arrived on scene they saw the male suspect in the window loading a firearm. The female victim fled the residence with two children. Deputies and SWAT established a perimeter around the residence as they attempted to call the suspect out of the residence. The suspect was in the front window yelling at police "I haven't done anything wrong, you... cowards" and "Do you have a warrant to be harassing me?" Negotiators arrived on scene about 1 a.m., however the suspect still refused to exit the residence. The suspect surrendered after SWAT officers breached the front door with a flash bang at about 1:30 a.m. Suspect information and charges have not yet been released. ••• The Carson City SWAT is currently responding to a home in the 1400 block of Pheasant Drive were a standoff is occurring according to Carson City Sheriff's Office officials. The incident started about 11 p.m. when officers were called to a domestic battery incident. The man is inside a house that deputies currently have surrounded. He is armed. The man is yelling at officers out the window. Sheriff's officials are currently negotiating with the suspect to get him to surrender. Check back for updates.
