Carson City Supervisor Jim Shirk seeks input from citizens

Carson City Supervisor Jim Shirk is available six days a week, excluding Sundays, to meet with members of the community.

Shirk says one of his goals is to improve communication between city government and citizens.

“Government accountable to their citizens — constitutes one of the most important institutions of contemporary life,” Shirk said. “That is why we need to find ways to broaden and deepen the community access to local government information, and the first step is ease of communications. Engaging citizens encourages participation. Proactive communication to keep constituents informed, will allow citizens the opportunity to take a significant role in Carson City’s future.”

Shirk says he wants to engage with citizens to understand their desires and worries. He is willing to meet with individuals or groups.
