Tip a Cop to be held July 21

Local law enforcement personnel will be hosting Tip a Cop throughout Nevada.

Tip a Cop is a fundraiser for the Special Olympics Nevada in which law enforcement work as waiters to deliver food and drink to customers. Their “tips” will all be donated to the Special Olympics. The money raised helps provide local Special Olympics athletes with free year-round sports training and competition opportunities in eight different sports.

Picture coupons will also be available to give to the restaurant, which will help with the cause as well, with Chili’s donating 10 percent of the check back to Special Olympics.

The dinner will be held July 21, from 5-9 p.m. at the Reno Chili’s on McCarran Boulevard, the Reno Chili’s on Smithridge Drive and the Carson City Chili’s on Highway 395.
