Golf enthusiasts can mark their calendars for an annual tournament whose proceeds go to local high school students.

The Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors is hosting the Alyce McCracken Scramble for Scholarships on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Eagle Valley Golf Course.

The annual golf tournament is played in honor of Alyce McCracken, a realtor and resident of Northern Nevada who had a passion for continuing education and training. Proceeds from the tournament benefit local high schools in the communities served by the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors, including the counties of Carson, Douglas, Churchill, and parts of Lyon.

The tournament is open to the public and the entry fee is $85 per person, which includes lunch. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase, and prizes will be awarded for the putting contest, longest drive and closest to the pin. Participants also will have a chance to win a new car from Carson City Toyota if he or she hits a hole-in-one.

For more information, call the Sierra Nevada Association of Realtors at 775-885-7200.
