2016 Octane Fest final schedule begins Thursday

The finalized 2016 Octane Fest Schedule now features a new last minute addition to the Motorsports Show on Saturday in the Walmart Parking Lot. Carson City brother Finger and Camo Stuntz will be riding in on their famous Harley’s for two-three stunt shows throughout Saturday morning at Walmart.


2016 Octane Fest FINALIZED Schedule


Thursday:

7 p.m.—The Miss Octane Fest competition returns at the Dry Gulch Saloon at the Churchill County Fairgrounds. Miss Octane Fest contestants will compete to represent Fallon by demonstrating a knowledge of motorsports and motorsport vehicles. Opening night will also feature the first pit party and sock hop dance party which will take place each night except Sunday.


Friday:

8 a.m. — Gates open at Top Gun Raceway where the NHRA West Coast Open begins (Test ‘n’ Tune begind 10 a.m.).

5 p.m. — Fairgrounds open.

5 p.m.-7 p.m. — Monster Truck Rides begin at $7 a person,

7 p.m.-9 p.m. — Truck and Tractor Pulls.

9 p.m. — First teaser for the Monster Truck rally with one truck performing a brief show.

9:30–10:15 p.m. — Demolition Derby

10:30 p.m. — Burning Car Stuntman

10:45 p.m. — Fireworks show.

11 p.m.-2 a.m. — Pit Party/Sock Hop.


Saturday:

8 a.m. — Gates open at Top Gun Raceway where the NHRA West Coast Open begins (Test ‘n’ Tune begin 10 a.m.).

11–2 p.m./5 p.m. — Top Dragster, Comp, Sportsman and Junior Dragsters.

8 a.m.–1 p.m. — Motorsports show in the Walmart parking lot featuring boats, cars, motorcycles and anything with a motor “New, used, abused and in progess” welcomed. Max Volume from KOZZ radio will be passing out shirts and tickets until 1 p.m. Stuntz brothers “Finger” and “Camo” Stuntz will perform daring feats on twin Harley motorcycles in two-three shows.

1–5 p.m. — IMCA Pro Modifieds Show begins at Rattlesnake Raceway.

4 p.m. — Events at the fairgrounds begin again.

4–6 p.m. — Monster Truck rides.

6–7 p.m. — Quad Racing.

7–8 p.m. — Tough Trucks.

8–10 p.m. — Monster Truck Rally

10 p.m. — Demolition stuntman and pit Party/Sock Hop (goes until 2 a.m.)

10:15 p.m. — Fireworks


Sunday:

8 a.m. — Gates open at Top Gun Raceway where the NHRA West Coast Open begins (Test ‘n’ Tune begin 10 a.m.).

Noon- Eliminations

3 p.m. — Finals

Noon — Rattlesnake Raceway opens.

1 p.m. — Final day of iMCA Pro Modifieds.


Ticket prices at the gates have been lowered to $15 from last year’s price of $17. Advance tickets are available at O’Reilly Auto Parts ($12 for adults, $8 for kids).

Though several new events were added this year NHRA West Coast Open Drag Races will still take place Friday-Sunday out at Top Gun Raceway.
