The Churchill County Commission meets at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at 155 N. Taylor St., in the commission chambers.

Commissioners will take up consideration and possible action regarding the following:

Recognition of Churchill County employees for years of service for the second quarter of 2016.

Update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), including a presentation regarding the wild horse and burro program..

Acceptance of renewal proposal for Nevada Public Agency Insurance Pool (NPAIP) Insurance including additional builder’s risk coverage for the construction of the adult jail facility and approval of invoice for payment from fiscal year 2016-2017 funds.

Nevada Department of Health and Human Services public hearing to receive public comments regarding Banner Churchill Community Hospital’s application for a Certificate of Need to expand the Emergency Department to NRS 439A.100.

Resolution 11-2016 which seeks to augment the fiscal year 2015-2016 budget in accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes.

Award of construction contract for the new detention center to Sletten Construction for a guaranteed maximum price of $15,245,911.

USDA Rural Development Letter of Conditions for the Detention Facility loans and other related actions to proceed forward to finalize financing with USDA for the Detention Center.

2:40 Update on Western Nevada College (WNC) activities and request for extension of lease agreement between Churchill County and the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education on behalf of Western Nevada College for space in the Churchill County Annex Building.

Update on various water related projects and renewal of a Professional Services Agreement with Mahannah & Associates.

Special assessment of $.26 on each taxable water user in the Carson Desert and the Lovelock Groundwater Basins for the Secured Tax Roll for fiscal year 2016-2017.

Resolution 13-2016 to augment the Long Distance Enterprise Fund of CC Communications for fiscal year 2015-2016.

Resolution 14-2016 to augment the Managed Data Services Enterprise Fund of CC Communications for fiscal year 2015-2016.
