Community Sports: Carson High School bowlers reach championship match

Carson High’s bowling team moved into today’s final at Grand Sierra Resort after a 30.5-14.5 win over Reed last week.

The championship match against Spanish Springs starts at 3:15 p.m.

The group of Luis Celedon, Skylar Belcher and Conlin Herrick combined for a 192, 183, 195, 191, 226, 171 and 201. The trio of Matt Hinton, Matt Liddell and Tyler Lethcoe rolled games of 245, 202, 150, 204, 145, 199 and 180.

Chris Baird, Conner Bell and Alec Fletcher had games of 185, 186, 258, 221, 225, 151 and 196. Ray Ceragioli, Gabe Gabica and Lethcoe rolled a 178 and 156, Paxton Spence, Rylan Fancher and Herrick had a 156 and 164.


Membership for CVGC men’s golf group

Memberships are now available for the 2016 Carson Valley Men’s Golf Club.

The club has Sunday morning tournaments starting March 20. The membership fee is $45 which includes NNGA membership and a basque dinner following the final tournament of the season in November. All tournaments are flighted and handicapped. A variety of tournaments are scheduled.

Applications can be picked up at the pro shop.


Eagle Valley first tournament coming up

Eagle Valley hosts its first tournament of the season March 13 at 9 a.m.

The cost is $25 for members and $45 for non-members which will also enroll them into the club. Lunch and one beverage is included in the entry fee.
