Dayton Valley Lions Club is offering free children’s vision screenings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 19 at Sutro Elementary School, 190 Dayton Village Parkway, Dayton.
KidSight, a Lions Club community service program, provides a simple, non-invasive screening test performed on young children. It is painless and requires no medication or preparation. It does require parental permission.
The Lion’s Club’s vision screening program is a nationwide effort in which well over 100,000 children have been screened using a portable auto refractor that looks like a camera. KidSight screens for farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism, lazy eye, and proper alignment. For more information, call Jack Epperson at 775-246-3315.
