Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Dayton man arrested on suspicion of obstruction charges

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 2:35 p.m., a 25-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-drugs and possession of marijuana after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Idaho Street and Fairview Drive. Bail was set at $2,000.

At 4:32 p.m., a 27-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of obstruction, domestic battery and battery after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and 7th streets. Bail was set at $2,390.

At 5:52 p.m., a 20-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, excessive smoke and a warrant after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Roop and Beverly. Bail was set at $4,650.

At 6:19 p.m., a 25-year-old transient woman was arrested on trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject near Kit Sierra Loop. Bail was set at $1,150.

At 10:22 p.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man and a 24-year-old Reno man were arrested on suspicion of obstruction after deputies responded to reports of an unwanted subject at the Carson Street Jimmy G’s. Bail for both was set at $250.

FRIDAY

At 12:48 a.m., Joey Garcia, 31, of Dayton was arrested on suspicion of felony sex offender failed to register after deputies observed Garcia in a vehicle near the 1000 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $5,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
