Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested following high speed chase

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 2:48 p.m., Rick Tunison, 57, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance after deputies responded to a warrant service near the 1800 block of Carson Street. Bail was set at $500.

At 3:35 p.m., a 33-year-old Minden man was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana, no valid driver’s license, reckless driving and eluding after deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop near the 2100 block of William Street. The man then led police on a high speed chase down William Street before stopping near William and Fall streets. Bail was set at $1,700.

THURSDAY

At 1:18 a.m., a 30-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1100 block of Calaveras Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 1:27 a.m., a 22-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service at the Rand Motel. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 1:54 a.m., a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to reports of an intoxicated man yelling and cursing at patrons at the Carson Street Nugget. Bail was set at $250.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
