The following cases were heard in the Tenth Judicial District Court.

A competency report from Lake’s Cross was received for Joseph Anthony Baltazar.

Deputy District Attorney Chelsea Sanford said the report indicates Baltazar is competent, and Judge Thomas Stockard ordered the case to move forward.

According to court documents, Baltazar is charged with battery by a prisoner in lawful custody or confinement.

A competency report for Troy William Enloe was received. The State of Nevada said the findings showed Enloe to be incompetent at this time. For almost 10 minutes Enloe rambled in court about the proceedings and his capabilities of understanding the charges. Enloe continued to pepper his comments with profanity and kept interrupting Stockard.

Shasta Marie Kelly pleaded guilty to one count of possession of false or altered prescription for a dangerous drug, a category E felony.

The defendant attempted to obtain Oxycodone by changing the date of refill or had in her possession a prescription with an altered date. The charge carries a penalty of one to four years in prison and a fine not to exceed $5,000.

Public defender David Niedert said sending Kelley to the Western Diversion Drug Court was not appropriate. He has arranged for a meeting with personnel to review the charge. The case will be reviewed at a later date.

Arraignment for Tyler James Bagby was delayed because a new case and charges has been filed against him.

Bagby had his own recognizance release revoked, and Stockard implemented at $10,000 bail.

Sentencing for Chea Mikel Douglass has been continued for two weeks.

Sentencing was scheduled for Juian Isaiah Wells, but the defendant’s public defender has not heard from him since January.

Trevor James Nady was removed from Drug Court in Lyon County. Discussion will continue in two weeks.
