Fallon rodeo team competes at Lincoln

At the Lincoln County High School rodeo last weekend, the Fallon Junior and Senior High School teams had a good showing.

In the Junior High School division, Grace Felton placed 10th in the barrels and Jayden Jensen placed third in the breakaway while Tayler Felton ended up fourth. In the goat tying Bethie Ikonen rook fifth, Grace Felton came in seventh and Tayler Felton took ninth. In the poles Chloe Lambert came in sixth and Tayler Felton ended up 10th.

In the boys’ goat tying Triton Desmond placed third and in the ribbon roping, Tayler Felton and Alex Arcadia (Washoe) took first, and Jensen and Daunte Ceresola (Fernley) took second. In the team roping Jensen and Cade Bell (Humboldt) came in third.

On Saturday Grace Felton placed fourth in the barrels, while Tayler Felton got sixth and Jensen took eighth. Jensen placed first in the breakaway, and Tayler Felton took sixth. In the goat tying Lambert earned first place, while Grace Felton took fourth and Tayler Felton ended up seventh. In the poles Grace Felton got first, Lambert placed second, Jensen took third, and Tayler Felton ended up tenth. In the boy’s goat tying Desmond placed fifth, and in the ribbon roping Ceresola and Jensen got first, Tayler Felton and Arcadia took second, Grace Felton and Chandler Green (Elko) came in fourth, and Desmond and Jayce Blake (Independent) ended up fifth. In team roping Jensen and Bell came in second.

In the High School Division one week ago, Cord Hendrix placed first in the bull riding, and Sam Goings placed second in the steer wrestling. In the tie-down roping. Jake Cerini placed first, Matt Goings grabbed fifth, and in the barrel racing Leighton Beyer came in eighth. In the team roping Jes Tews and Austin Iveson (Wells) roped to first place, Mackay Spyrow and Jordan Taylor (Moapa) came in second, and Sam and Matt Goings took ninth. Cord Hendrix took first, while his brother Caleb Hendrix got third. In the girls cutting Jessica Gomes came in seventh, and she was fifth in the reined cow horse.

In the boys cutting Caleb Hendrix placed first, Cord Hendrix got second, and in the girls cutting Gomes took fourth and third in the reined cow horse.
