The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
THURSDAY
At 2:21 p.m., John Sullivan was arrested on suspicion of a felony warrant out of Douglas County charging he used someone else’s identification to avoid prosecution. He was arrested after deputies were called to a residence on East Long Street for a reported domestic battery involving his ex-wife. He was also charged with preventing her from calling 911. Total bail was set at $9,000.
At 3:48 p.m., an 18-year-old Carson woman was arrested following a traffic stop on South Carson Street on suspicion of a warrant charging failure to appear for a traffic ticket. Bail was set at $175.
At 5:25 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson woman was arrested at a motel in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of a contempt of court warrant and ordered held in lieu of $1,000 bail.
At 6:50 p.m., a 41-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. Her husband, age 39, was charged with violating a no alcohol condition on his alternative sentencing. Her bail was set at $4,822. His was set at $6,000.
At 7:21 p.m., a 22-year-old was arrested on East Long Street on suspicion of criminal contempt charges after refusing to identify himself to a deputy. Bail was set at $500.
At 10:13 p.m., a Dayton man was charged with driving without a license and no proof of insurance after a traffic stop for impeding traffic on North Edmonds. Total bail was set at $1,125.
FRIDAY
At 2:20 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested following a traffic stop on suspicion of a failure to appear on an early traffic citation. Bail was set at $215.
At 7:22 p.m., a 66-year-old Carson man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies were called to his home on Royal Drive. The victim was his girlfriend. Bail was set at $3,000.
At 10:56 p.m., deputies were called to the Casino Max on a report that the driver of a blue Taurus hit another vehicle then left the scene. After a deputy spotted the vehicle, he tried to initiate a traffic stop but the driver, Regina Maureen Rupert, 27, instead returned to the Max casino before stopping. According to the arrest report, she deliberately rammed her ex-boyfriend’s vehicle while he and another casino patron were right next to it, damaging the car next to it as well. She was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, hit and run, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and two counts of destruction of private property. Total bail in the case is $22,000.
SATURDAY
At 2:44 a.m., a 47-year-old painter was arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st after a traffic stop at Northgate and Nye Lane for failure to maintain a travel lane. Bail was set at $1,040.
At 3:44 a.m., a 35-year-old man was arrested on a warrant out of Reno for contempt after a deputy noticed him hitchhiking on North Carson Street. Bail was set at $1,025.
At 7:39 a.m., a 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after calling deputies to her South Curry residence claiming her boyfriend was trying to attack her. Deputies reported that, instead, his charge that she bit him and burned him with a cigarette appeared to be the facts of the case. She was held in lieu of $3,000.
At 3:44 p.m., a 29-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny and trespassing by Walmart security. He was held in lieu of $400 bail.
At 4:05 p.m., Taylor Chandler, 21, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of stolen property — an iPad — and possession of paraphernalia after the person she sold the device to became suspicious and reported it to deputies. She was held in lieu of $3,500 bail.
SUNDAY
At 10:02 p.m., David King, 46, was arrested on suspicion of an outstanding warrant after deputies responded to a report of a man lying on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East. During booking, deputies reported finding a small amount of methamphetamine in his pocked. He was held in lieu of $3,000 total bail on the possession and the warrant.
At 11:42 p.m., a 29-year-old Reno woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-1st and gross misdemeanor child neglect after deputies were called to the Veranda View Motel on South Carson Street. She was banging on a motel door and told deputies she was trying to get her daughter’s stuffed animal back. She was charged with DUI after she drove her vehicle forward in the parking lot. The child neglect charge was filed because the seven-year-old daughter was in the vehicle. Bail totals $3,500.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
