Fallon man killed in rollover

A Fallon man was killed late Sunday afternoon and two others injured in a vehicle rollover on Indian Lakes Road, reports the Churchill County Sheriff’s Office.

The CCSO said a white 1998 Toyota Tacoma extra-cab pickup driven by 34-year-old Andy Hansen appeared to have exited the right side of Indian Lakes Road, overcorrected and rolled over in the roadway, ejecting Hansen.The CCSO said Hansen died at the scene.

Alan Fudge, 56, of Fallon was transported by Care Flight to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno. Nichol Rowe, 31, of Fallon was transported by paramedics to Banner Churchill Community Hospital where she was treated and released.

The CCSO said there was no evidence at the scene of driver impairment, but toxicology is pending. According to the CCSO report, it did not appear any of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is assisting in the ongoing investigation and all information provided here is pending the final investigative report.
