WATER MEETING

A Fallon meeting to update the metering of private water wells will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. for interested citizens at Oasis Community Church, 1520 S. Maine St.

Guest speakers will be Churchill County Commissioner Pete Olsen, former Commissioner Norman Frey and moderator Floyd Rathbun.

To date, 5,904 registered voter have signed petitions against the metering of private water wells. The Nevada Legislature subcommittee’s final meeting in Carson City filled three rooms of people around the state protesting this move and around 77 people testified against metering as a future move by the state to limit one’s use of their private well and property rights.


CEDA BREAKFAST

GRAND OPENING

Country Health is having a grand opening on Nov. 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at its new location, 203 S. Maine St.

There will be raffle prizes and a 20 percent throughout the store on most items.
