Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on grand larceny, burglary

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 8:25 a.m., a 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court and failure to appear after deputies responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle at the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $1,242.

At 12:38 p.m., a 39-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear traffic warrant after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 2600 block of Nye Lane. Bail was set at $215.

At 2:05 p.m., a 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1300 block of Monte Rosa Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 3:41 p.m., Kenneth Reynolds, 51, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 2600 block of Nye Lane. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 3:38 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1800 block of Lompa Lane. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 6 p.m., a 46-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and following too closely after deputies responded to reports of an accident near Carson Street and College Parkway. Bail was set at $1,075.

At 6:06 p.m., a 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1700 block of N. Carson Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 6:28 p.m., a Sun Valley man was arrested on suspicion of broken brake light, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid driver’s license after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 3000 block of Roop Street. At the same incident, a 39-year-old Sun Valley woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription. Bail for the man was set at $4,625 and bail for the woman was set at $2,500.

At 11:20 p.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of minor consuming and two counts of violation of alternative sentencing after deputies conducted a consensual stop near the 1000 block of Fairview Drive. Bail was set at $6,150.

At 11:34 p.m., a 47-year-old transient man was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to reports of a man yelling near the 3200 block of Market Street. Bail was set at $150.

FRIDAY

At 1:08 a.m., Keith Curtis, 36, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony grand larceny, felony burglary, felony attempted burglary and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies responded to reports of a man taking money from customers at the S. Carson Street Dotty’s Casino. Curtis was detained at the Carson Street JCPenny’s after attempting to flee. Bail was set at $70,000.

At 4:19 a.m., a 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of battery warrant and basic speeding after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Fairview and Lepire. Bail was set at $550.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
