A man was hospitalized following a stabbing on King Street Wednesday night.
Deputies responded to reports of a stabbing around 5:28 p.m. at the King Street Apartments. Upon arrival, deputies found a male with multiple stab wounds to the upper abdomen.
The man was flown via CareFlight to Renown Regional Medical Center with severe injuries, said Sheriff Ken Furlong.
The victim was stabbed following an altercation. According to Assistant Sheriff Ken Sandage, the man was helping his daughter move out of her ex-boyfriend’s apartment when the ex-boyfriend’s roommate got into an altercation and stabbed the man with a knife.
The suspect has been detained for questioning by investigators and officials suspect he will be charged with battery with a deadly weapon and other charges as the investigation continues.
