Suspect identified in Carson City stabbing incident

Officials have identified the suspect of Wednesday’s stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.

Wednesday evening, deputies responded to reports of a stabbing around 5:28 p.m. at the King Street Apartments.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim with a serious knife wound to the stomach.

The victim allegedly got into an altercation with the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Kenneth Paz, while trying to help his daughter move out of her apartment.

The victim was transported by CareFlight to Renown Regional Medical Center with serious wounds, but is expected to survive.

Paz was arrested at the scene without incident and charged with felony battery with a deadly weapon. His bail has been set at $30,000.

It hasn’t been released yet what started the altercation between Paz and the victim.
