Individuals, organizations and businesses who made outstanding contributions to further the missions of the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation and the Carson City Department of Parks, Recreation, and Open Space are recognized annually, and nominations are being sought for this year’s awards.

The categories are Organization of the Year, Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Volunteer of the Years.

The selected names will be added to the Wall of Honor at the entrance to the Marv Teixeira Pavilion in Mills Park.

The awards ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. July 12 at the pavilion. Following the ceremony will be an open house at the historic Wungnema House to honor the current and past awardees.

Nominations are due by June 19 and winners will be selected June 21. To submit a nomination, download the form and instructions at www.carsonparks.org, or contact David Bugli at 775-883-4154 or Dcbugli@aol.com with “FCCPR Honor Wall” in the subject line.

Other names can be added to the memorial wall adjacent to the Honor Wall for a $100 or more donation to the foundation. A brief biography and fee can be sent to Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation, P.O. Box 3266, Carson City, NV 89702-3266.
