Man arrested on domestic battery with strangulation and felony kidnapping, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

THURSDAY

At 9:57 p.m., Joshua Ezekiel, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prescription drug without a prescription and DUI after deputies initiated a traffic stop at the Carson Street Bodine’s Casino. Bail was set at $6,000.

FRIDAY

At 7:15 a.m., a 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of violation of bail conditions after deputies responded to reports of a residential burglary near the 1300 block of Moody Street. The suspect was detained at 400 block of William Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 3:55 p.m., a 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 1600 block of Airport Road. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 6:02 p.m., a 70-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Northridge and Russell. Bail was set at $1,040.

At 6:03 p.m., a 33-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near 5th Street and Carson Meadows Drive. Bail was set at $500.

At 9:06 p.m., an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of protection order violation after deputies responded to reports of an order violation near the 300 block of Betts Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 11:31 p.m., a 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a business check at the Carson Street Nugget Casino. Bail was set at $500.

SATURDAY

At 12:07 a.m., a 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and basic speed after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Brown Street. Bail was set at $1,065.

At 12:48 a.m., a 34-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 1400 block of Como Street. Bail was set at $3,000.

At 1:24 a.m., a 20-year-old Reno man was arrested on suspicion of DUI and basic speed after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 580 and Arrowhead Drive. Bail was set at $1,080.

At 2:55 a.m., Timothy Priess, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation, felony kidnapping in the 2nd degree and failure to appear warrant after deputies responded to reports of a beaten woman at the Carson Tahoe Hospital. The suspect was arrested near the 1500 block of La Mirada Street. Bail was set at $55,740.

At 9:14 a.m., a 60-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1300 block of Heather Way. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 12:36 p.m., Alex Kallas, 25, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction after deputies conducted a pedestrian stop near Carson and 8th Streets. Bail was set at $2,800.

At 9:32 p.m., Eric Galyan, 22, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, DUI, lighted lamps required and unregistered vehicle after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Bath Streets. Bail was set at $3,550.

At 10:28 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of two counts of failure to appear after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Highway 50 and Saliman Road. Bail was set at $430.

SUNDAY

At 2:24 p.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1400 block of Long Street. Bail was set at $500.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
