Man arrested on suspicion of felony arson, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

At 2:48 p.m., a 58-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after deputies responded to reports of a possible intoxicated driver at Carson High School. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 3:51 p.m., a 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, registration expired and child endangerment after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Musser and Nevada streets. Bail was set at $3,525.

At 6:24 p.m., Mark Furlong, 36, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony arson-third degree after deputies responded to reports of a man allegedly setting bushes on fire near Hot Springs Road and Pine Lane. Bail was set at $5,000.

At 8:17 p.m., a 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of Department of Alternative Sentencing violation after deputies conducted a business check at the Carson Street Max Casino. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 8:22 p.m., Stephanie Baumhardner, 32, and Jose Majano-Alvarez, 28, of Carson City were arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies responded to reports of a suspect with a warrant near the 3900 block of Pheasant Drive. Bail was set at $3,500.

At 10:20 p.m., Robert Cantrell, 38, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony violation of District Court conditions and contempt of court after deputies conducted a business check at the Edmonds Drive Jackpot Crossing Casino. Bail was set at $173.

SATURDAY

At 1:12 a.m., a 20-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense and probation violation after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Lompa Lane and Highway 50. Bail was set at $5,500.

At 9:50 a.m., a 42-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 1300 block of Heather Way. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 11:33 a.m., a 45-year-old Olivehurst, Calif., man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny, destruction of property, two counts of contempt of court, assault and obstruction after deputies attempted to look for a man who took items from the Highway 50 7-11 and damaged vehicles at the Highway 50 Whiskey Tavern. Bail was set at $4,550.

At 12:43 p.m., a 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court and obstruction after deputies conducted a warrant service near Stewart and Park streets. Bail was set at $3,300.

At 1:07 p.m., a 27-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery near the 2200 block of Fairmont Way. Bail was set at $6,000.

At 5:50 p.m., a 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense and tall lamps required after deputies initiated a traffic stop near the 3300 block of Highway 50. Bail was set at $2,525.

At 8:56 p.m., Shylo Watson, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, three counts of probation violation and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a consensual stop near the 1200 block of Woodside Drive. Bail was set at $16,000.

At 9:39 p.m., an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor after deputies conducted a consensual stop near Gordon and Brown Streets. Bail was set at $3,100.

At 9:43 p.m., a 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of Department of Alternative Sentencing violation after deputies initiated a pedestrian stop near the Nevada and Park Streets. Bail was set at $1,000.

SUNDAY

At 2:42 a.m., Nathalia Pecorilla, 24, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of felony parole and probation hold after deputies conducted a consensual stop near the 400 block of Curry Street. No bail was set.

At 9:51 a.m., a 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 2500 block of Scotch Pine Drive. Bail was set at $295.

At 8:47 p.m., a 56-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI, failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to maintain a lane after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Carson and Park Streets. Bail was set at $1,115.

At 6:06 p.m., a 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of failure to appear and violation of a suspended sentence after deputies conducted a warrant service near the 2200 block of Long Street. Bail was set at $3,185.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
