The Carson City Raiders Booster Club will hold its annual picnic and membership drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 22 at Dayton State Park’s covered public-use area.
The club welcomes all Raiders fans, as well as those who aren’t. It will be serving up burgers and hot dogs, soda and water to those in attendance. Each person or family is asked to bring a side dish to share.
For those who are new to the club, RSVP with the number of people attending to club secretary Leni Manning, 775-232-9700. Attendees can bring their own beverage.
The club is recognized by the Oakland Raiders as an official booster club and is the only Steering Committee Booster Club in Nevada.
Game watches are held game days at the Eleventh Frame Lounge inside Carson Lanes, 4600 Snyder Ave. Membership is $30 per person, or $40 per family and $50 for family membership with two votes on club business matters.
All ages are encouraged to join. Raffles and auctions are held at all regular season game watches. The club’s main goal of fundraising is to adopt homebound seniors at Christmas time. It also supports Advocates to End Domestic Violence and other nonprofits.
Applications will be at the picnic, or pick one up at It’s a Girl Thang Consignment Shop, 1921 N. Carson St. For information, call Manning at 775-720-4333.
