Man arrested on DUI-third, says Carson City Sheriff’s Office

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

WEDNESDAY

At 12:45 p.m., a 61-year-old Visalia, Calif., man was arrested on suspicion of convicted sex offender fail to register after deputies responded to reports of a transient man in front of Carson High School. Bail was set at $2,500.

At 7:09 p.m., Michael Maravilla, 48, of Smelterville, Idaho, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI-third offense after deputies initiated a traffic stop near Clear Creek Avenue. Bail was set at $20,000.

At 9:24 p.m., a 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of contempt of court after deputies responded to reports of a dispute at the William Street Smith’s. Bail was set at $887.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
