Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble to hold holiday performances

The Tintabulations Handbell Ensemble is returning to ring in the holiday season.

The program, “Winter Wanderings,” will present musical tales that guide audiences through a holiday journey filled with interwoven harmonies, haunting melodies, and joyous themes.

In Carson City, performances will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Carson City Community Center, 850 E. William St.; 1 p.m. Dec. 17 at Redemption Church, 1600 Snyder Ave.; and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Family, 1201 N. Saliman Road.

Other performances in the area are planned at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 at First United Methodist Church, 209 W. First St., Reno; 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at Victorian Square Place, 764 Victorian Plaza Circle, Sparks; 1 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Churchill County Museum, 1050 S. Maine St., Fallon; 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at First Baptist Church, 485 E. Main St., Fernley; 7 p.m. Dec. 11 at Great Basin Brewery, 846 Victorian Ave., Sparks.

Two additional performances with the Reno Pops Orchestra are planned at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 and 2 p.m. Dec. 16 at South Reno Baptist Church, 6780 S. McCarran Blvd., Reno.

The free performances are suitable for all ages. Admission is free, but the nonprofit ensemble gratefully accepts donations.

Formed in 1996, Tintabulations is comprised of more than a dozen local musicians performing on 120 hand bells and chimes. Members are from Carson City, Dayton, Fallon, Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe and Bishop.
