Glen Robert Buhlig, long time Fallon resident, passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2017 at his residence.
Glen was born in Strasburg, Missouri on June 11, 1929 to Alfred and Cora Buhlig. The family moved to Fallon in 1937. Glenn attended schools in Fallon, graduating from Churchill County High School. He was in the US Navy, but had to return home early when his father became ill.
Glen was a rancher, farming many acres of ground over the years, living in the same house that he was raised in until the time of his death.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Glen is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mamie Buhlig; daughters, Debbie (Ray) Bullock, Toni West-Guillen; grandchildren, Beckie Nuttall, Lacie (Troy) McAfee, Cody (Wendy) Bullock, Monte Bullock, Tyler Peel and Alec West-Guillen;
numerous great-grand children and great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Glen’s life will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at The Gardens Funeral Home.
Interment with Military Honors to follow in The Gardens Cemetery.
