November 9, 1924 - September 1, 2018 Bruce Pfeiffer (call sign N7CPP) of Carson City passed away peacefully September 1, 2018 at Whispering Heights Residence Home. Bruce  was born in Harrison, Nebraska, joining the navy during World War II. During the war Bruce served as Radioman First Class on the USS Caliente. Following his discharge he settled in Oakland, California, where he met his wife Ruth Sue Olds. While in California Bruce worked for California State Automobile Association in Oakland and then owned one of the first of its kind "Instant Printing" company in San Francisco. Following retirement Bruce and Sue moved to Carson City. While in Carson Bruce was active in Amateur  Radio club, St Paul's Lutheran Church, the Carson Tahoe Auxiliary and the Carson Tahoe Volunteers (driving the bus). The last few years Bruce has been lovingly and  respectfully cared for at Whispering Heights Assisted Living by Fredric Davidson and Naima Velasquez and other staff. He was deeply grateful for their support. Bruce continues to give of himself as he has  donated his body to the University of Nevada Medical School.
