Rae Dean Dickerson

July 31, 1951 ~ September 11, 2018

Rae Dickerson, long time resident of Carson City, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the age of 67.

Rae was born in San Francisco, California, July 31, 1951, to Lloyd and Velma Dickerson.

Rae began her working life in Modesto, California, as a registered nurse. After moving to Nevada approximately 27 years ago, Rae decided to go back to school at University of Nevada, Reno, to change her career to become a teacher, eventually teaching English at Dayton High School for approximately 16 years.

Rae will be dearly missed by her mother, Velma Dickerson, and her sister, Karen Dickerson, as well as countless friends and family.

A celebration of Rae’s life will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the home of Glen and Jackie Cheney, 7548 Old US Highway 395, Washoe Valley 89704.

(Directions: 5 miles north of Carson City on Old Highway 395 - west side of Washoe Valley). From Carson City, take Lakeview Exit, turn left to Old Highway 395 under overpass. It’s the third house on the right.
